History of LANA

Est. 1993

In 1993, a group of concerned neighbors created LANA when the city seemed to be neglecting the neighborhood, and neglectful landlords ran rampant. That same year, Dr. Larry Ray, the head of the interior design, program at the then Lambuth University, was having his students decorate three homes in the neighborhood for Christmas. Dr Ray suggested that these three and any other area homes we could add, could be made into the area’s first Holiday Home Tour. After the success of our First Christmas Home Tour, In 1994, LANA was formally created with by laws and officers.

2023 will mark 30 years of dedication to our neighborhood by the LANA organization!
